Hezbollah attacks Syrian Army positions at border area: state media

Hezbollah launched and struck Syrian army positions with artillery at the border area of Qusayr between Lebanon and Syria, a Syrian Defense Ministry source told the state-run SANA news Agency. 

The source said Syrian forces "immediately responded by targeting the source of the fire" after identifying the launch sites, which reportedly fired five artillery shells.

Syrian authorities are now coordinating with the Lebanese Army to assess the situation, per the source quoted by SANA, adding that the Syrian Army halted its retaliatory strikes at the request of the Lebanon military, which pledged to pursue and clear the "terrorist groups responsible for targeting Syrian territory."
