At least three people were injured in new US airstrikes targeting the northern Yemeni provinces of Sanaa and Saada on Thursday, according to local sources and the Houthi-controlled Ministry of Health.

The ministry reported that a civilian was wounded in the eastern al-Jaraf neighborhood of Sanaa, where several homes were also damaged in the Bir Zaid area. The airstrikes primarily targeted residential areas.

In Saada, a province near the Saudi border, two additional civilians were injured. One was hurt in airstrikes on the al-Salim district, while another was injured in the Sahar district.

The Houthi Ministry of Health condemned the attacks, calling them a clear violation of international humanitarian law, and urged the international community to take immediate action to stop the strikes, which continue to harm civilian populations.

As of 07:40 UTC, there had been no official comment from the United States on the airstrikes.

Earlier on Wednesday evening, US warplanes carried out six additional airstrikes targeting the Sahlain area in al-Salim district, Saada.

These attacks are part of a broader campaign that has been escalating since mid-March. Since then, around 1,000 US airstrikes have been recorded, resulting in at least 217 civilian deaths and 436 injuries, with women and children making up a large portion of the casualties. The figures reported do not include Houthi casualties.

The US airstrikes were authorized by then-President Donald Trump, who ordered a major offensive against the Houthi group, vowing to "completely eliminate" it. These strikes have contributed to growing tensions in the region.

The recent attacks come amid rising tensions in the Red Sea and across the broader region. Local reports indicate that six airstrikes hit the Barash area, east of Jabal Nuqm, with some directly targeting the mountain itself. However, there have been no immediate reports of additional casualties or significant damage.
