Yemen's Houthi group said on Monday that it had launched fresh attacks on two 'Israeli' targets and two US aircraft carriers, using drones and cruise missiles.

"We launched a drone attack at a vital target in the city of Ashkelon and another drone attack at a military target in the city of Eilat," Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sarea said in a statement aired by Houthi-run al-Masirah TV. He did not identify the specific targets in both cities in southern 'Israel'.

"As part of confronting the American aggression, we targeted the USS Truman aircraft carrier and its escorting warships in the northern Red Sea with two cruise missiles and two drones," Sarea said, referring to the USS Harry Truman.

"We also targeted the USS Vinson aircraft carrier and its escorting warships in the Arabian Sea with three cruise missiles and four drones," he added.

Sarea reaffirmed that the group's attacks "will continue" against Israel and U.S. naval forces in the region.

According to Houthi television, the attacks on Israel and the U.S. warships took place within the past 24 hours.

The Israeli Occupation Forces and the US military have yet to comment on the Houthi claims.

Meanwhile, US airstrikes in Yemen have continued. Early on Monday, Houthi television reported that the death toll from US airstrikes on Sunday night against a popular market in the Shu'ub neighborhood of Sanaa had risen to 12, with 30 other civilians wounded.

On Sunday night, the Houthi TV also reported other US airstrikes targeting several Houthi positions in the northern provinces of Al-Mahwit, Saada, and Marib.
