Dozens of US airstrikes hit Houthi weapons sites in five Yemeni provinces
The number of US airstrikes on Houthi positions in Yemen rose to 23 on Tuesday, targeting weapons storage sites and military camps across three provinces, according to reports.
The strikes hit Houthi weapon depots and military locations in the Al-Hosn district southeast of Sanaa, along with camps and other sites in Sanhan district and arms warehouses in Jabal Nuqm.
The renewed air campaign continued into Monday night, with explosions shaking the capital, Sanaa, as US warplanes launched multiple strikes on Houthi positions.
Earlier, US airstrikes targeted Houthi sites in Majzar and Al-Abdiyah districts in Marib province. One strike reportedly hit a military outpost in Al-Abdiyah, bringing the total number of strikes across Marib, Sanaa, and Hodeidah to 23.
In Hodeidah, four additional strikes hit a weapons depot in the Al-Ghuwayriq area west of Al-Tuhayta, while eight other strikes targeted missile platforms and fortifications on Kamaran Island—frequently used by the Houthis as a base for maritime attacks.
On Sunday evening, American warplanes also struck multiple Houthi-controlled areas on the island and in other regions of Yemen. Further US strikes were reported in Al-Jubah district in southern Marib, contributing to a series of powerful explosions across southern Sanaa.
According to the Houthis, the United States has launched nearly 1,000 air and naval strikes on their positions since mid-March, making this one of the most intense bombing campaigns since the start of US military involvement in the region.
