Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, released a video on Saturday showing Edan Alexander, an 'Israeli' soldier with American citizenship who has been held captive in Gaza since October 7.

In the video, Alexander accuses the 'Israeli' and American governments of abandoning him and failing to secure his release.

He says he watches “every day as Netanyahu controls the country like a dictator,” expressing frustration over the 'Israeli' Prime Minister's leadership. He also claims that an opportunity for his release was recently blocked.

“Three weeks ago, I heard that Hamas was ready to release me,” Alexander says in the recording. “And you refused — you left me behind.”

His message grows more emotional as he continues, saying, “Everyone lied to me — my people, the 'Israeli' government, the American administration, and the army.”

The video’s release comes amid stalled negotiations over a potential ceasefire and captive exchange. Despite international pressure to reach an agreement, talks remain frozen, with both sides trading blame.
