"We are losing hope": "Israeli" captive sends urgent plea from Gaza

Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, shared a brief message from an "Israeli" captive via their media platform on Saturday.

The message read, "Soon... time is running out," followed by the phrase "We are losing hope."

While the brigades did not provide additional details, this message is part of a series of similar communications released over recent months.

On April 5, 2025, Qassam Brigades aired a video featuring two 'Israeli' captives pleading for their release, again under the same slogan, "Time is running out."

This latest message coincides with heightened political and military pressures in Gaza, where 'Israeli' forces resumed their offensive on March 18, 2025. The clashes between Palestinian resistance and 'Israeli' forces continue, while indirect negotiations for a prisoner exchange and ceasefire have made little progress.

The release of such messages is seen as an effort to pressure the 'Israeli' government, especially with ongoing protests in Tel Aviv by the families of the captives.

No official response has been made by 'Israel' yet, but analysts suggest that the timing of the message could signal upcoming developments, either on the ground or in the media.

Earlier, Qassam Brigades urged the international community to increase its support for the Palestinian cause, warning that "the patience of the resistance is running out" in the face of continued aggression.
