Meta deletes 90,000 pro-Palestine posts after Oct 7 "Israeli" requests
A massive censorship campaign targeting pro-Palestinian content on Instagram and Facebook has been orchestrated directly by the 'Israeli' government, according to newly leaked data obtained by Drop Site News.
The revelations expose Meta's overwhelming compliance with takedown requests from 'Israel', which has resulted in what experts are calling “the largest mass censorship operation in modern history.”
The internal Meta data, provided by whistleblowers, reveals that since October 7, 2023, 'Israel' submitted more content takedown requests (TDRs) than any other country—and Meta complied with 94 percent of them. “Meta removed over 90,000 posts in an average of 30 seconds,” Drop Site News reports, noting that most requests cited vague allegations of “terrorism” or “incitement.”
But what sets Israel’s campaign apart is its global reach. Unlike most governments, which focus on posts originating within their own borders, 'Israel' has targeted users in more than 60 countries, primarily Arab and Muslim-majority nations. According to the report, just 1.3 percent of 'Israel’s' takedown requests target Israeli users.
"Israel’s censorship project will echo well into the future," Meta insiders warned, explaining that Meta's AI moderation tools are being trained using these takedown decisions—embedding the bias against Palestine-related content into the system itself.
The Integrity Organization, the internal unit at Meta responsible for content enforcement, is led by Guy Rosen, a former 'Israeli' military official. Other high-level Meta figures involved in the enforcement include Jordana Cutler, a former advisor to 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Cutler, according to internal Meta communications, personally flagged content related to Palestinian writer Ghassan Kanafani for review and removal.
A Human Rights Watch investigation independently corroborates these findings, reporting that of 1,050 posts suppressed or removed since October 7, 1,049 were in support of Palestine.
Insiders say even peaceful advocacy for Palestine is being penalized. One whistleblower confirmed that Meta’s AI frequently removes posts that do not violate the platform’s own policies. Worse, accounts posting such content often receive “strikes,” escalating toward full suspension.
"Meta has failed to curb this abuse," one source said, "and has instead actively facilitated it."
The implications of this censorship operation are enormous—not just for digital rights, but for global discourse. As governments increasingly seek to control narratives beyond their borders, the lines between tech platforms and state power continue to blur.
