Jordanian official: No injuries after unidentified flying object fell in Madaba
An “unidentified flying object” fell inside Jordanian territory Friday evening, specifically in the Ma'in area of Madaba Governorate, causing fires in nearby areas and a loud explosion at the site, according to Jordanian official.
The source confirmed that no injuries were reported. Civil Defense teams responded swiftly and managed to contain the fire, while a Royal Engineering Corps team arrived to inspect the scene and assess the nature of the incident.
A loud noise was heard Friday evening in the Ma'in area of Madaba Governorate in Central Jordan, though its cause—whether an explosion or something else—has not been confirmed, according to local residents.
Videos and images circulating on social media showed fires breaking out in the area shortly after the sound was heard.
Eyewitnesses said security forces and Civil Defense teams were on the scene, working to contain the fire and investigate its cause.
