Jordan’s tourism revenue rises 16.3% in early 2025

Preliminary data from the Central Bank of Jordan shows a 16.3 percent increase in tourism revenue during the first two months of 2025, reaching USD 1.28 billion, compared to the same period in 2024. This growth is attributed to an 18.5 percent rise in tourist arrivals.

Tourism revenue increased across all nationalities, including:

  • Jordanian expatriates: +12.0%
  • Arabs: +16.7%
  • Europeans: +4.6%
  • Americans: +14.6%
  • Other nationalities: +42.5%

Meanwhile, spending on outbound tourism also rose by 16.7 percent, reaching USD 342.7 million in the first two months of 2025.

Additionally, remittances from Jordanian expatriates grew by 1.2 percent in January 2025, reaching USD 320 million, up from USD 316.4 million in January 2024.
