Jordan stresses need to adhere to mediated Gaza ceasefire agreement
Jordan condemned “Israel’s” renewed assault on Gaza, which has resulted in hundreds of Palestinian casualties – a statement by the Foreign Ministry said.
Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Qudah stressed the urgent need for “Israel” to adhere to the ceasefire agreement, brokered with Qatari, Egyptian, and U.S. mediation. He warned that continued aggression could further destabilize the region.
Qudah called on the international community to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities by pressuring Israel to halt its offensive immediately. He also urged for the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement, the restoration of electricity in Gaza, and the reopening of border crossings to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to the war-ravaged strip.
