Jordan welcomes Trump’s remarks on not expelling Gazans
Jordan welcomed Thursday US President Donald Trump’s recent statement saying that Gaza residents would not be expelled from the Strip.
Trump stated on Wednesday, "No one is expelling anyone from Gaza," in response to a question during a White House meeting with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin.

Trump also emphasized that Washington is working "diligently" in coordination with 'Israel' to resolve the situation in the Gaza Strip.
Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Qudah reiterated Jordan’s support for efforts aimed at achieving a peace that is acceptable to the people, emphasizing that Jordan and the United States are partners in this endeavor.
Qudah stressed the importance of a just and lasting peace that ensures the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967, borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the two-state solution—the only viable path to security, stability, and peace in the region.

In early February, he presented his plan, which proposed the permanent displacement of Palestinians, US control over the strip, and an initiative to rebuild it into a so-called "Riviera of the Middle East."
