"Israel" mulls Al-Aqsa Mosque restrictions during Ramadan, Hamas responds
"Israel" is contemplating imposing new restrictions on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the surrounding area in Jerusalem as the Muslim holy month of Ramadan approaches.
The measures, discussed by "Israel's" Ministry of Defence with security agencies including Shin Bet, the police, and the army, aim to limit the number of worshippers allowed into the mosque, which is typically crowded during Ramadan.
Only a few thousand people would be allowed entry, with specific age groups: men over 55, women over 50, and children under 12, being granted access.
Additionally, up to 10,000 people would be permitted to attend Friday prayers, but they must submit requests in advance.
Hamas condemned the plan, calling for increased religious devotion at Al-Aqsa and warning of the consequences of restricting access.
They urged the international community and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to take action against these violations.
