Young man kills family and friend over inheritance in Egypt

Cairo Criminal Court on Monday heard the case of an engineer accused of murdering his parents, brother, and friend at their home in the Maadi Gardens Compound over inheritance disputes.

The session was being led by Judge Gamal Al-Samari, with Judges Mohamed Samah and Adel Al-Ghawit, under heightened security measures.

Investigations revealed that the defendant committed the crime after tensions escalated over how the inheritance was to be divided, resulting in the tragic deaths.

The incident has been described as a "massacre," and the defendant was referred to criminal trial following the Public Prosecution's investigation.
