The Jerusalem Post revealed that an "Israeli" delegation will head to Cairo on Monday to discuss the continuation of the deal with Hamas, including the entry of caravans and aid into the Gaza Strip.

The delegation will focus on implementing the first phase of the captives deal. Six remaining captives are still expected to be released. The decision follows a call between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump's Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff.

Witkoff also held talks with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Egyptian intelligence chief Maj.-Gen. Hassan Mahmoud Rashad. According to The Post, he proposed "new ideas" to advance the deal.

In an interview with Fox News, Witkoff acknowledged that the second phase of the deal is "more complicated" but said it will proceed. The "Israeli" security cabinet is set to convene Monday to discuss the next steps.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, issued a statement condemning what it described as a “treacherous attack” carried out by an Israeli Occupation drone on Sunday morning east of Rafah.

The strike targeted police officers assigned to secure the entry of humanitarian aid, resulting in the deaths of three officers. Hamas called the attack a serious violation of the ceasefire agreement.

Hamas further accused Israel of delaying the second phase of negotiations, claiming it demonstrates a lack of commitment to the agreement.
