Egypt develops plan for Gaza reconstruction without displacing residents
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Friday that Egypt is working on developing a comprehensive plan aimed at assisting the Palestinians in Gaza through the implementation of early recovery programs, debris removal, and reconstruction while ensuring that Palestinians remain on their land.
In a statement, the ministry reported that the Egyptian Foreign Affairs Minister, Badr Abdelatty, emphasized during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting on Syria in Paris that Cairo is in the process of developing a reconstruction plan for Gaza without displacing the residents of the enclave.
During the meeting, Abdelatty also reviewed the Egyptian efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza in its three phases, aiming to support security and achieve stability in the region.
For his part, Macron expressed his country's support for these efforts, stressing the importance of Palestinians remaining on their land.
