Qassam Brigades present gold gift to captive for newborn daughter
Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, presented a gold piece to one of the three "Israeli" captives released as part of the prisoner exchange agreement between the Palestinian resistance and "Israel".
According to Al Jazeera, a source within Qassam stated that the fighters gifted the gold piece to US-"Israeli" national captive Sagi Dekel-Chen as a symbolic gesture for his daughter, who was born four months after his capture.
Dekel-Chen was among three Israeli captives—alongside "Israeli"-Russian Sasha Trupanov and "Israeli"-Argentinian Yair Horn—who were handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross in Khan Younis on Saturday.
In return, "Israeli" authorities released 369 Palestinian prisoners as part of the sixth phase of the exchange deal.
The handover took place in Khan Younis, where dozens of Qassam and Quds Brigades fighters gathered alongside crowds of supporters near the home of former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.
Some resistance fighters were seen carrying "Israeli" weapons seized during the October 7 "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation.
