'No caravans or heavy equipment have entered Gaza yet,' says official
Salama Maarouf, head of the Government Media Office in Gaza, confirmed that no caravans or heavy equipment have been allowed into the Gaza Strip from Egypt via the Rafah crossing, despite their presence at the border.
He expressed hope that the equipment would be allowed into Gaza soon, based on reassurances from the concerned authorities.
Maarouf also emphasized that the office informs mediators daily of 'Israeli' violations, stressing the need for 'Israel' to fulfill its commitments under the ceasefire agreement, including the timely entry of humanitarian supplies as agreed.
He warned that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is worsening, with the population enduring an unprecedented crisis due to the ongoing 'Israeli' assault that has lasted for 15 months.
The situation is dire, as about 1.5 million people have lost their homes and remain homeless, while the entire population of 2.4 million suffers from the collapse of basic services and near-total destruction of infrastructure.
