Jordan condemns “Israeli” calls for Palestinian state on Saudi land

Jordan condemned in the strongest possible terms recent ‘Israeli’ statements opposing the Palestinian people's right to establish an independent and sovereign state on their land, in addition to statements suggesting the establishment of a Palestinian state on Saudi Arabia’s territory.

Jordan’s Foreign Ministry labeled the statements as incitement that violates international law, relevant UN resolutions, and the sovereignty of nations.

Ministry spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Qudah, in a statement, said that Jordan rejects the ‘Israeli’ government’s continued provocative policies and remarks that undermine state sovereignty and international legal norms.

He reaffirmed Jordan’s outright rejection of such inflammatory rhetoric, describing it as exclusionary and hostile to peace, further escalating tensions in the region.

Ambassador Qudah reiterated Jordan’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and called on the international community to condemn and reject these irresponsible statements.

He emphasized that ‘Israel’s’ attempts to deflect from the reality of occupation and its ongoing violations of Palestinian rights will not succeed, asserting that the root cause of the conflict remains Israel’s continued occupation.

Qudah reaffirmed that the Palestinian people remain steadfast in their right to establish an independent and sovereign state along the pre-June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital—stressing that security, peace, and stability cannot be achieved without it.

He also called for an end to ‘Israeli’ escalatory measures in the occupied West Bank, including repeated military incursions, settlement expansion, and land confiscation, which serve only to entrench the occupation.
