Safadi: King’s visit to Washington aims to strengthen partnership, achieve stability
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, met today, Tuesday, with Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
The meeting aimed to conduct extensive discussions on Jordanian-Greek friendship relations and ways to enhance them bilaterally, within the framework of partnership with the European Union (EU), and the trilateral cooperation mechanism with Cyprus.
Safadi stated that the King's visit to Washington and his meeting with US President Donald Trump aim to strengthen the partnership and achieve stability and security in the region.
He noted that the upcoming meeting between the King and Trump underscores the importance and pivotal role of Jordan in the region.
He highlighted that there are positive developments in the region that should be built upon to enhance stability and regional cooperation.
Meanwhile, Greek Foreign Minister Gerapetritis emphasized the pivotal and important role Jordan plays in regional stability, stressing the necessity of intensifying humanitarian and relief aid to the Gaza Strip amid the current conditions.
Gerapetritis expressed his country's support for the Jordanian air bridge to deliver relief aid to Gaza, emphasizing the rejection of any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from the Strip.
