US President Donald Trump stated on Monday that there were "no guarantees" the ceasefire in Gaza would hold, as he prepares for discussions with 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about its future.

Netanyahu, in Washington for talks with the Trump administration, is expected to focus on the second phase of the truce with Hamas, which is still pending finalization.

Over two weeks since the ceasefire began, two Hamas officials confirmed that the group was prepared to discuss the details of the second phase, which could ensure a more permanent halt to the violence. Before departing 'Israel', Netanyahu told reporters that his talks with Trump would address "victory over Hamas," countering Iranian influence, and securing the release of all captives.

This meeting will mark Trump’s first foreign leader engagement since returning to the White House in January, a move Netanyahu described as a testament to the "strength of the Israeli-American alliance."

With ceasefires in Gaza and Lebanon, Israeli Occupation has now shifted its aggression to the West Bank. The operations have resulted in multiple casualties.

Trump, who played a key role in negotiating the ceasefire after 15 months of aggression, acknowledged that while progress was being made with 'Israel' and other Middle Eastern nations, he had "no guarantees" the peace would last.

The second phase of the ceasefire is expected to involve the release of more captives and could pave the way for a permanent end to the war. A Hamas official disclosed that the group had communicated with mediators, indicating readiness to begin negotiations for the next phase.

The discussions in Washington are also set to address the normalization of relations between Israeli Occupation and Saudi Arabia, which Riyadh had frozen at the start of the Gaza aggression.
