VIDEO: Two "Israeli" soldiers dead in Tayasir checkpoint attack

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced that a shooting operation targeted the Tayasir checkpoint in Tubas.

According to the IOF radio, an armed individual opened fire on a group of soldiers, resulting in several casualties.

Hebrew media reported that the attack led to the injury of eight soldiers, including two in critical condition, two with moderate injuries, and four with minor wounds.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority (IBA) stated that additional soldiers and reinforcements arrived at the scene and opened fire on the assailant, leading to his death.

The IOF radio reported that "a Palestinian resistance fighter arrived at the checkpoint around 6:00 A.M. and opened fire with an automatic weapon at a group of soldiers, wounding several of them. He then took cover inside a military tower at the site, prompting reinforcement forces to arrive. He engaged in a firefight with them, injuring more soldiers, while medical teams had to wait several minutes until the clashes ended to evacuate the wounded."

Channel 7 Hebrew reported that "the perpetrator of the Tayasir checkpoint operation in Tubas managed to break into the guard tower where soldiers were stationed and engaged them at very close range."

Hebrew media also indicated that the assailant was wearing a bulletproof vest.
