Freed detainee Zakaria Zubeidi gives first statement
Crowds of Palestinians in Ramallah, West Bank, celebrated the release of Zakaria Zubeidi, a former detainee in 'Israeli' prisons, following the liberation of 110 prisoners as part of the third phase of a prisoner exchange deal.
Upon his arrival, Zubeidi expressed his gratitude and solidarity, saying, “May our martyrs rest in peace, may our wounded in Gaza heal, and may the people of Gaza return safely to their homes. We pray for Jenin and its people.”
He described the gathering as a “public referendum on the resistance fighters” and thanked everyone who stood by the Palestinian people.
"The dragon belongs to this land, and the hunter must leave," Zubeidi declared, referencing his own nickname, "The Dragon."
