Gaza residents begin returning to northern areas on foot
Gaza’s Ministry of Interior announced the implementation of measures allowing displaced residents to return to northern Gaza via Al-Rashid Street starting Monday morning.
The ministry stated that pedestrian movement in both directions on Al-Rashid Street is permitted from 7:00 AM local time, while vehicle movement on this road remains prohibited under the current agreement.
Roya’s correspondent reported that thousands of displaced Palestinians began walking back to northern Gaza through Al-Rashid Street early Monday.

In a related update, the ministry confirmed that Salah Al-Din Street will open to vehicles heading north starting at 9:00 AM, with all vehicles subjected to inspections before being allowed to pass.
Hebrew media reported that vehicles returning to northern Gaza will undergo inspections conducted by a US-based private company.
'Israeli' military announced the start of new procedures facilitating the return of Gaza residents to the northern regions. According to their statement, pedestrian movement via the Netzarim and Al-Rashid coastal roads began at 7:00 AM, while vehicle traffic through Salah Al-Din Street will commence at 9:00 AM following security checks.
The military emphasized that access to the Rafah crossing, the Philadelphi Route, and all 'Israeli' military zones remains strictly prohibited.
