Jordan says sent over 5,000 aid trucks to Gaza since war’s start
The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization announced Sunday that the number of aid convoys sent to Gaza in collaboration with the Jordan Armed Forces has reached 141, comprising a total of 5,127 trucks – since the start of the “Israeli” aggression.
The organization stated in a press release that, following the announcement of a ceasefire in Gaza, the convoys have delivered a variety of relief supplies, including food and medical aid.
Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, Secretary-General of the organization, emphasized that, in line with royal directives, coordination with relevant authorities continues to ensure the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian assistance to Gaza. The aim is to address urgent humanitarian needs and support those affected by the conflict.
“We are working at full capacity, preparing over 100 aid trucks daily to ensure continuous and uninterrupted delivery of support to our brothers and sisters in Gaza. This number is expected to increase in the coming stages,” Al-Shibli said.
He highlighted that these efforts reflect Jordan's steadfast commitment to standing by its neighbors in challenging times, in partnership with the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) and both local and international organizations.
The organization reaffirmed its dedication to providing comprehensive humanitarian support, focusing on supplying hospitals with essential medical equipment and delivering basic food supplies to affected families.
It also stressed the importance of joint local and international efforts to sustain aid delivery and create a lasting positive impact on the lives of Gaza's residents.
The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) reiterated its commitment to its humanitarian mission, grounded in national and humanitarian obligations. It continues to work with international and local partners to ensure aid reaches those in need as swiftly as possible.
