The Syrian authorities in Aleppo's Al Shaar neighborhood announced the arrest of a gang specializing in theft that impersonated authority members to extort citizens, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
SANA reported that the gang used their fake identities to commit crimes, threatening and extorting residents, causing panic among locals in the area.
