First “Israeli” attack on Syria’s new authorities kills three: SOHR

An “Israeli” drone strike for the first time targeted a military convoy of the new Syrian security forces in the countryside of Al-Quneitra, in south-western Syria – according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

The attack caused powerful explosions after which plumes of smoke were seen – according to local reports.

The strike resulted in the death of one individual, the death of two members of Syria’s new security forces, and critically injuring another, who was transported to a hospital for treatment.

According to SOHR, the strike was carried out while security forces were conducting search operations for weapons in the homes of civilians.

The “Israeli” military officially claimed the strike, saying they identified a convoy of vehicles of weapons near the buffer zone where "Israeli" troops are deployed.
