Arrest made in connection with citizen's body found in car

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) confirmed the conclusion on the investigation behind the death of a citizen found in his vehicle north of Amman on Sunday.

The investigation, in coordination with the Criminal Investigation Department and the North Amman Police Directorate, concluded its inquiries after identifying the perpetrator and arresting him.

The spokesperson stated that the investigation team worked from the moment the crime was discovered to gather information from the crime scene, analyze it, and follow all evidence, which enabled them to narrow down the suspect to one individual. They identified his location and arrested him.

During the investigation, he confessed that a fight occurred between him and the victim due to financial disputes and that he strangled him during the altercation, leaving him in the vehicle and fleeing the scene. The case will be referred to the Public Prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court.
