Report: "Israel" greenlights troop withdrawal plan from Gaza
The Israeli Occupation is reportedly moving forward with plans to withdraw its forces from Gaza as progress is made in prisoner exchange negotiations with Hamas, according to Anadolu Agency (AA) on Saturday.
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) outlined several strategies for a swift troop withdrawal, with Haaretz noting that one proposal involves using the Netzarim Corridor, a route that cuts through Gaza, to facilitate the operation.
Despite having established significant military infrastructure in Gaza, the IOF expressed its capability to “evacuate” the area promptly if required. This readiness reflects a commitment to implementing any agreement reached between the Israeli Occupation government and Hamas, which could include a rapid redeployment of troops.
The Prime Minister’s Office recently announced that a delegation, led by Mossad chief David Barnea and Shin Bet head Ronen Bar, is set to visit Qatar to continue discussions aimed at finalizing the deal.
Ahead of the announcement, "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held talks with Steve Witkoff, the Middle East envoy for US President-elect Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, Yedioth Ahronoth reported that negotiations have made significant headway, with 90 percent of the details of a prisoner exchange deal between "Israel" and Hamas reportedly finalized, citing political sources.
