Jordanian citizen missing in Mecca found safe during Umrah

The Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates confirmed that the missing Jordanian citizen in Mecca, who had been performing Umrah for several days, has been found safe.

According to the ministry’s spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Qudah, the Saudi authorities notified the Jordanian consulate in Jeddah that they had located the missing citizen and denied social media claims that she had been abducted. She is in good health.

Ambassador Qudah stated that the ministry, through the Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs and the Jordanian General Consulate in Jeddah, will coordinate with the relevant Saudi authorities and the family of the Jordanian citizen to ensure her swift return to the Kingdom.

He also expressed gratitude to the Saudi authorities for their cooperation and efforts in locating the Jordanian citizen.
