Jordan's Foreign Minister discusses escalating tensions with US counterpart in London
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced that Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi is engaged in extensive discussions with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in London.
The talks focus on collaborative efforts to halt the severe escalation in the region, emphasizing the urgent need to cease Israeli Occupation aggression in Gaza and Lebanon. The ministers highlighted the importance of delivering humanitarian aid adequately and sustainably and the full implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
The ministry's statement revealed that the meeting also addresses the critical need to curb the dangerous escalation in the West Bank while emphasizing the shared commitment to strengthening the enduring and robust strategic relations between the two friendly nations across various sectors.
Minister Safadi urged Secretary Blinken to exert pressure on Tel Aviv to halt what he described as "ethnic cleansing."
