At the direction of King Abdullah II, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Huneiti, instructed the Royal Medical Services to evacuate four-year-old Raghd al-Khawali from Gaza to Jordan after a suspected tumor was diagnosed by the Jordanian field hospital in the southern part of the territory.
Upon her arrival in Jordan, the child was transferred to Queen Rania Al Abdullah Children’s Hospital in Al-Hussein Medical City, where specialized medical teams immediately began conducting the necessary tests to determine the type of tumor and start treatment.
Brig. Gen. Dr. Abdullah Ghanma, Director of Queen Rania Al Abdullah Children's Hospital, explained that the child suffers from a mass pressing on both eyes and requires specialized care. He confirmed that diagnostic and treatment procedures would begin immediately.
The child’s family expressed their deep gratitude to His Majesty King Abdullah II for this humanitarian gesture, praising the significant role played by the Jordanian Armed Forces in providing medical and humanitarian assistance in Gaza.
