Ahmad Tibi calls Ben Gvir "disgrace," "failed national security minister"

On Tuesday, the Knesset witnessed a tense exchange between Arab member Ahmad Tibi and "Israeli" National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir during discussions about a controversial law aimed at deporting the families of those who carry out attacks against "Israel".

Tibi lambasted Ben Gvir, declaring, "You are a disgrace; you are a failed national security minister."

Ben Gvir accused Tibi of representing the "families of terrorists," labeling him a terrorist in turn. Tibi countered, "You are the terrorist."

As the debate unfolded, Tibi criticized Ben Gvir for leading a bloc that allegedly supports terrorism, questioning whether the proposed law would also apply to Jewish attackers. Knesset member Almog Cohen interjected, stating, "There are no Jewish terrorists."

Ahmad Tibi, a prominent Palestinian physician and politician, has been a member of the Knesset since 1999 and leads the Arab Movement for Renewal. He previously served as an advisor to the late Palestinian President Yasser Arafat on Arab minority issues in the occupied territories.
