"CliQ" payment service sees 2.5 percent increase in users in September
Data from the Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC) revealed that the "CliQ" payment service experienced a 2.5 percent rise in users in September, reaching 1.56 million, up from 1.52 million in August and 1.47 million in July.
The number of financial transactions in September totaled 7.89 million, with a cumulative value of JD 1.14 billion.
Since the start of the year, the total number of transactions has reached 56.11 million, amounting to JD 8.37 billion.
Despite the increase in users, September saw a slight decline in transaction volume by 0.2 percent compared to the previous month.
According to the report, 95.5 percent of users are Jordanian, totaling 1.5 million, while non-Jordanians account for 55,000.
The demographic breakdown shows that 62.6 percent of users are male, totaling 973,400, while females represent 34.8 percent, with 541,300 female users.
The most active age group among users is between 18 and 30 years, with 591,000 users, followed by the 31 to 40 age group with 409,000 users, the 41 to 50 age group with 267,000 users, and 163,000 users in the 51 to 60 age group.
There are 71,000 users aged 61 to 70, 18,000 users aged 71 to 80, and 6,000 users under 18 years old, along with 4,000 users aged 81 to 90.
In terms of user type, individuals constitute 98.3 percent of the service users, totaling 1.53 million, while institutions account for 1.7 percent, or 26,500 users.
