Army foils drone smuggling attempt on western border

The Jordanian Southern Command thwarted a drug smuggling attempt using a drone on its western front on Saturday – a statement by the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) said.

The Border Guard Forces, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, intercepted the illegal smuggling attempt by applying engagement rules, successfully downing the drone within Jordanian territory.

The seized materials were handed over to the relevant authorities – according to the statement.
