Hezbollah urges Lebanese government to condemn Israeli Occupation attacks on civil defense teams
The Israeli Occupation targeted its airstrikes on civil defense teams in Lebanon, who were engaged in clearing debris and rescuing victims in Beirut.
Hezbollah confirmed on Friday that one paramedic was killed and several others were injured in the strikes that hit them while working in the southern suburbs.
Furthermore, Hezbollah condemned the attack as a "barbaric act" that violates humanitarian norms and international resolutions.
The group called on the Lebanese government and relevant international institutions to denounce the airstrikes and take action to ensure that humanitarian teams can perform their life-saving duties without fear of being targeted.
Lebanese Health Minister Firass Abiad reported on Thursday that the death toll of rescue and firefighting workers has risen to over 40 due to the recent aggression in Lebanon over the past three days.
This brings the total number of medical personnel killed since the escalation of violence nearly a year ago to 97, with many health centers also suffering damage.
