Iranian Foreign Minister arrives in Beirut
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport on an Iranian plane, marking the first visit by an Iranian official since the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah and the escalation of Israeli Occupation airstrikes across Lebanon.
According to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), Araghchi's arrival is significant in light of the current regional tensions.
He is expected to meet with Lebanon's Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri to discuss the ongoing situation.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry reiterated Tehran's unwavering support for the Lebanese people, emphasizing the need for regional actors to understand the gravity of the challenges facing Lebanon.
