Weather warning issued as as Jordan braces for fog
A mild and humid air mass is expected to continue affecting Jordan over the next four days, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
The weather will be moderate in most areas, and relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba during the day. Low-altitude clouds will appear in the northern and central parts of the country, with moderate northwesterly winds that may occasionally pick up.
The department stressed the need for caution when driving in mountainous areas due to possible fog formation, which could reduce visibility.
They also advised wearing warm clothing in the mountainous regions, as temperatures are expected to drop significantly.
Additionally, the department recommended taking precautions against direct sunlight during the day and taking advantage of the pleasant nighttime conditions for travelers and tourists in the Dead Sea and Aqaba.
The JMD has issued a warning for citizens about foggy conditions in the mountains during certain hours.
Daytime high temperatures in the capital are expected to range between 26°C and 28°C, while nighttime lows will drop to between 15°C and 17°C.
In lower areas such as the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, daytime highs will range from 36°C to 38°C, with nighttime temperatures dropping to between 24°C and 26°C.
