Jordanian Armed Forces dispatched two mobile clinics to Gaza on Monday as part of the "Restoring Hope" initiative to provide prosthetic limbs.

The clinics are fully equipped with medical supplies to support those who have lost limbs in the ongoing aggression. This initiative was launched three weeks ago under royal directives to aid the war-affected population in Gaza.

The Director of Military Media stated that the Jordanian initiative, led by the Royal Medical Services in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization and local partners, comes in response to the rising number of injuries in Gaza. Hospitals in the region have been overwhelmed, unable to treat the large number of cases effectively.

The initiative, the first of its kind, focuses on the rapid and efficient installation of upper and lower prosthetic limbs. It aims to assist approximately 14,000 individuals who have lost limbs, with each procedure expected to take just one hour.

The Director also highlighted the initiative's goal of reaching as many affected people as possible. The prosthetic procedures will be documented in electronic medical records through the "Hakeem" system, and remote consultations from rehabilitation specialists in Jordan will be available for follow-up care.

A specialized medical team from the National Center for Amputation Rehabilitation at Al-Hussein Medical City has been trained to carry out the prosthetic installations. The director affirmed that under royal directives, more initiatives will follow, including the establishment of a women's health hospital in Khan Younis in the near future.
