The Palestinian Prisoners Society reported on Sunday that the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) are currently holding 9,300 Palestinian citizens in its prisons, including at least 75 women and approximately 250 children.

The society highlighted that this figure does not encompass all detainees from Gaza, whose numbers are estimated to be in the thousands.

The occupation prison administration has classified 899 detainees as "unlawful combatants," according to WAFA.

An international journalistic investigation revealed that 36 detainees from Gaza have died while in custody, with “Israeli” authorities refusing to disclose their identities and the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

Additionally, the number of administrative detainees, those held without charge or trial, exceeds 3,400.

The report also noted that among the total detainees, approximately 600 are either serving life sentences or are individuals for whom the occupation is seeking to impose life sentences.
