Shawarbeh urges employees and daily wage workers to benefit from this decision

Yousef Shawarbeh, Mayor of Amman, issued a circular on Monday as part of the administrative development and streamlining plan of the Greater Amman Municipality, offering incentives to encourage employees to retire early.

The decisions included granting classified employees, who will reach the minimum service requirement for retirement during 2024, two annual salary increases and retirement.

Shawarbeh also decided to grant non-classified employees and daily wage workers, who meet the conditions for early retirement according to the Social Security Law No. 1 of 2014, and who will complete the minimum service requirements for early retirement during 2024, a financial amount equivalent to their monthly salary subject to social security for each remaining year of service, up to the maximum number of social security contributions of 360, with a minimum of two months' salary.

Additionally, non-classified employees and daily wage workers, whose services will end upon reaching the legal retirement age or the maximum number of social security contributions of 360 within the remaining months of this year, will receive a financial amount equivalent to two months' salary subject to social security.

Shawarbeh called on employees and daily wage workers wishing to benefit from this decision to submit their applications by August 31, 2024.
