The Palestinian Police spokesman, Colonel Luay Erzeiqat, detailed an incident where an individual assaulted a police officer, causing moderate injuries, and then stabbed himself in Hebron on Tuesday.

Erzeiqat explained that the attacker left his home armed with a knife, intent on killing any armed security personnel he could find.

The motive was self-initiated, influenced by incendiary materials he had seen in the media, but not orchestrated by any organized entity.

He clarified that the injured officer received necessary medical treatment and suffered multiple wounds to the chest, neck, head, and hand.

He emphasized that the security forces and police will not relent in enforcing the law and ensuring the safety of the nation and its citizens.
