An “Israeli” law organization initiated a campaign in the US targeting human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, accusing her of significantly influencing the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) decision to issue an arrest warrant against “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The organization, Shurat HaDin, which represents “Israeli” citizens who experienced October 7, called for Clooney to be investigated and prosecuted. The campaign also extends to her husband, actor George Clooney, “Israeli” newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported.

Shurat HaDin appealed to US Attorney General Merrick Garland, claiming that Clooney violated the federal American Service-Members’ Protection Act, informally known as The Hague Invasion Act.

The organization argues that Clooney's participation in ICC investigative actions against Netanyahu, conducted while she was on US soil, constitutes a felony under US law.

Shurat HaDin further alleged that Clooney participated in an ICC investigative forum tasked with reviewing evidence against individuals accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity in “Israel” and Gaza.

Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, President of Shurat HaDin, emphasized that according to American law, no ICC agent can engage in investigative actions against Americans or their allies while residing in the US.

Commenting on the situation, Darshan-Leitner criticized what she described as a biased attempt by the ICC in The Hague to prosecute “Israeli” officials amidst their ongoing conflict with Hamas in Gaza.

“As President Biden stated, it is outrageous that this biased court in The Hague would attempt to prosecute Israeli officials as they battle the Hamas murderers, rapists, and terror gangs in Gaza,” Leitner stated. “If Amal Clooney participated in the ICC panel investigating Prime Minister Netanyahu while residing in the US then she is the one that needs to be prosecuted. She seems to be passionate about international law but pretty contemptuous of American regulations.”

She continued to say, “George Clooney’s efforts to intervene and interfere with White House policy on behalf of his wife while raising funds for Biden’s campaign is troubling and suspicious.”
