The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the decision of the Republic of Armenia to recognize the State of Palestine, calling it an important step reflecting Armenia's adherence to international law and relevant UN resolutions.

The official spokesperson for the ministry, Ambassador Dr. Sufian Qudah, expressed Jordan's high appreciation for Armenia's decision, supporting the Palestinian people's right to freedom and an independent, sovereign state based on the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and grounded on the two-state solution.

Ambassador Qudah renewed his call for the international community to take urgent steps to recognize the State of Palestine and urged the UN Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities and enforce a resolution recognizing the independent Palestinian state. He emphasized that this would ensure a return to a path achieving just and comprehensive peace, safeguarding Palestinian rights, and bringing security, stability, and peace to the region.
