The “Israeli” Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced today the cancellation of disengagement in the settlements of Sha-Nor, Ganim and Kadim in the northern West Bank, following the enactment of the law on the cancellation of disengagement that passed in the Knesset in March of last year.

"We have succeeded in completing the historic move. The Jewish hold on Judea and Samaria guarantees security, the application of the Law on the Cancellation of Disengagement will lead to the development of settlement and provide security to the residents of the area,” Gallant said.

After disengaging from 21 settlements in the Gaza Strip and four in the West Bank in 2005, the cancellation of disengagement means that it will no longer be considered a criminal offense to settle in those areas.
