On Monday, the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) confiscated a large amount of unlicensed nutritional supplements that were being advertised on social media platforms, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.

In a public statement, JFDA Director General Nizar Mheidat revealed that hundreds of packages of these unauthorized supplements were seized across various Jordanian governorates.

The JFDA urged the public to avoid these products and is actively monitoring social media for supplement advertisements that might be misleading or promoting unapproved products.

Their goal is to ensure only legally authorized supplements are available for purchase, adhering to the 2017 safety regulations.

For safe supplement consumption, the JFDA advised buying from trusted sources. They also encourage anyone with concerns or questions to report them directly. You can reach the JFDA through their toll-free hotline (117114), email ([email protected]), or WhatsApp (0795632000).
