Oppenheimer, a film helmed by Christopher Nolan chronicling the life of the nuclear bomb inventor, clinched several awards at the annual British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards.

This highly successful film of 2023 garnered recognition for its editing, cinematography, and Robert Downey Jr.'s supporting role at the early stages of the ceremony. With 13 nominations, Oppenheimer stood out as a front-runner.

Among the standout contenders for the Best Actor category is Cillian Murphy, portraying the American physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, while Christopher Nolan was nominated for the Best Director award.

The courtroom thriller "Anatomy of a Fall," exploring the suspicion surrounding a writer in her husband's death, secured the best original screenplay.

"The Zone of Interest," delving into the life of the Auschwitz commandant and his family living near a Nazi camp, clinched the award for the best non-English language film.

Meanwhile, "Poor Things," which received 11 nominations, emerged victorious in the special visual effects category.
