The Ministry of Water and Irrigation/Jordan Valley Authority stated that the long-term annual average of rainfall increased to 37 percent.

The total storage percentage in major dams has risen to 96.5 million cubic meters, constituting 33.4 percent of the total storage capacity of 288,128 million cubic meters.

The ministry specified that the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours was recorded in Naour/Amman, with 7.1 millimeters. Additionally, satellite images indicate the continuous influx of more rain clouds towards Jordan in the coming hours.

These clouds bring varying intensity of rain affecting northern, central, and parts of the southern regions due to a low-pressure system currently centered over Syrian territory.

The chances of rain increase during the afternoon and evening hours of Thursday, continuing into the night and Friday.

The weather is expected to be cold, cloudy, and intermittently rainy, with occasional fog over high mountainous areas. Westerly winds of moderate to brisk speed may stir up dust in desert areas and roads, as reported by ArabiaWeather.
