Water Ministry reports increase to 44.5 percent in long-term annual rainfall average

The Ministry of Water and Irrigation - Jordan Valley Authority stated that the long-term annual average of rainfall has increased to 44.5 percent of the long-term annual average as of Thursday morning, Jan. 25, 2024.

The ministry stated that the total storage in the main dams has risen to 105.6 million cubic meters, representing a total storage percentage of 36.6 percent of its total storage capacity of 288.128 million cubic meters.

It also noted that the highest amount of rainfall was recorded in Ajloun - Ras Munif, reaching 16.7 mm within 24 hours.
