The Israeli Occupation's Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, has decided to prohibit any celebratory events marking the release of Palestinian prisoners as part of a prisoner exchange agreement.

Ben-Gvir instructed the reinforcement of Israeli Occupation police presence in areas expected to receive the released Palestinian prisoners, imposing strict measures against any signs of celebration.

Despite expressing disagreement with the deal, Ben-Gvir stated that once a decision is made, it must be executed.

The exchange deal, which was scheduled to take effect Thursday morning, faced a delay, with National Security Advisor Tsahi Hanegbi announcing that the release would not occur before Friday.

Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Majed Al-Ansari, mentioned that the announcement of the humanitarian Truce's start in Gaza would be made in the coming hours, emphasizing positive progress in discussions about the ceasefire's implementation plan.

Ansari noted ongoing collaboration with Hamas, Tel Aviv and partners in Cairo and Washington to ensure a swift commencement of the truce.
