The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have made the decision to release all Palestinian administrative detainees whose detention periods are set to expire next month.

This choice follows a comprehensive security evaluation conducted by various agencies, prompted by prison overcrowding and the necessity to accommodate high-risk prisoners, according to the IOF.

The Israeli Occupation prison administration provided clarification, stating that the detainees released last night were administrative detainees. Their release was executed in accordance with military directives and in coordination with the Shin Bet.

The administration emphasized its lack of authority regarding detainee releases, asserting its adherence to the instructions issued by security agencies.
